I get chills. Just such a great ending to a great movie. Gary Oldman deserved an Oscar (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy).
He’s the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we’ll hunt him because he can take it. Because he’s not our hero. He’s a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight.

I work at McDonald’s in Gateway Plaza, Patchogue, NY. Not a glamorous job but it puts a few dollars in my pocket.
The other night a woman comes in with a mentally disabled boy between 13 to 15 years old. He is not controlling himself and the poor mom couldn’t get him reeled in. We hunted down a picture menu for the boy to choose food. They came back to the counter several times ordering different items hoping she would find what he wanted to eat.
I could see the mom getting overwhelmed so I asked her if there was anything I could do, both of us knowing that all I could do was empathize. She broke down and started crying saying how he is not usually like this. She had him out of the home for the day and she didn’t understand. I tried to reassure her that everyone has bad days and it will be all right. A shift supervisor was calling to me “I need you on register”. Dumbass I felt like gesturing to her. This was a more important service than finding out if they wanted fries with that.
I returned to the counter. Mom and son came back to the counter another time but the boy ran behind the counter and opened a fridge and grabbed salad dressing. The manager who was standing there was a little physically overwhelmed but neither of us was prepared for what happened next.
The boy bolted behind the counter and ran past the friers and insanely hot grills. The manager and I took off in pursuit with staff and customers standing with their mouths hanging open. The boy was pulling sandwich boxes off their rack so when I got to him I grabbed him by his jacket and shirt collars and bent his reaching hand behind his back.
For a moment I thought what happens if he fights back but there was no resistance in his arm and he was compliant as I walked him out of the kitchen from behind the counter. I didn’t see the mom or her reaction to what happened but when I calmed down and looked, they were gone.
